The best corporations value training and do not give it only cursory attention. They will identify key core areas and skills that all employees need to have and will ensure these skills are repeatedly drummed into the employees to ensure they have them pat down.
They also understand that repetition and ceaseless practice of the fundamentals gives them a competitive advantage over rivals. They identify areas which are core to their survival and growth examples are sales, product quality, customer service, collections and cost control.
These are the non negotiable areas and standards they instil in their employees as they carry out their daily duties.
The best of the best even go further and refine their core areas into one skill they are reknown for in the market. This can be sales, customer service or product quality. They will ensure they lead the industry in this area and push the envelope to ensure they master one skill set above the rest.
They will not stop at anything to ensure constant and never ending improvement in this area. Mc Donald’s is known for fast service, Starbucks product quality, Addidas- product quality, Coca Cola for it’s branding and advertising acumen , Mercedes Benz – Product Quality. One aspect usually stands out of the crowd of competitors and this is where these companies plant their defensive and offensive line.
Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it
to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She
put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic
but I had to tell someone!
Thanks for the humour. I laughed, I thought you were sharing a poem for one moment. It’s good to go off topic at times and enjoy these humorous moments. I hope your child only got a slight pinch and she’s better 🙂
I have read a few good stuff here. Certainly worth bookmarking for revisiting. I surprise how much effort you put to make such a great informative site.
Thanks for the compliment
