Grant Cardone talks about a power list for your life. This is where you ensure you work on your top 3 goals each day no matter what happens. Start incrementally from 30 min blocks and power you way up once your personal discipline takes hold.

30 minutes

Try to own at least a 30-minute block every hour of the day. Never give up on your dreams keep plodding and walking on.

It only takes 30 minutes to take a walk, contact that long lost friend, work on that long-term project, read that book and that chapter you have not read for some time.

Yes 30 minutes can make a difference in your life if followed through consistently each and every day. You really don’t need too much too make a difference. Just ensure you create a pattern that has you executing at least 3 key actions that are related to your key goals.

This is the secret sauce of success it’s that simple.

Consistency

What we really value in life is consistency first and foremost. We were sure of our parents love it was consistent and without fail. That coke and Pepsi taste was consistent. Sunrise and sunset is a consistent theme in our lives.

The seasons in our various continents are usually consistent. Here in Uganda I expect two major rainy seasons and one dry season. The countries in the northern and southern hemisphere expect four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Those flights, train journeys and other events we attend depend on clockwork synchronization and consistency to keep all our schedules in check. Our normal life would be disrupted if we are not sure whether our trains, planes will run on schedule.

All our favorite restaurants and go to places open and close at regular times. I can imagine if you had to guess when your favorite hangout place will open. That’s why consistency in life is important.

When we went to school we expected to see timetables which were consistent throughout the school term. Inconsistency interrupts and disorients us. We need to aim for rhythm and consistency in our daily lives.

The best organizations, world class athletes are all anchored on creating consistency in their daily schedules and events like clockwork.

Take Action

Start slowly and ensure you get these 30 min focused blocks of time scheduled in your calendar. You will fall off the wagon but keep coming back again and again until you get the right habits instilled. This is what matters in life.
